Back to School
Ahhhh today was hideous. okay it wasn't hideous it was livable but still I could have gone my whole life and not needed today to be there. So in my francais class i had to give a little dialogue that I memorized last minute. I was impressed with my self. I said it really fast and it sounded french. ;) that's what matters, right? well french wasn't that bad. but then I went to Gym class or what they like to call it "Lifetime Activities". hideous hideous hideous. It was horrible. He made us do caterpillars. Those are when you literally have to crawl like a caterpillar and your shirt practically falls over your head. That's fine when your a guy but sucks when your a girl and have to pull down your shirt every time you go down. Well then we had to do other stretches which I was perfectly fine with. But then we got to the dreaded part. LUNGES & SQUATS. Who the hell decided those would be good exercises? did they want me to be a stub that has to pull herself around with her hands. I swear we did about 100 of each of them and I'm not lying. In between intervals we would have to get down on our stomachs and do push ups. Well as it happens I have no upper body strength any way. I must have looked pathetic. I would have laughed at myself if I had seen exactly what I as doing. It was bad. At least the coach had the decency to look away. I don't think I could have taken it if he looked at me like I little worm. After the lunges, push ups, and squats we had to jog. Mind you this is my first day of gym class since last May. I was thinking "oh, okay, jogging, I can do jogging, jogging doesn't really require muscle power." WRONG. I get to my feet and try to jog. My muscles in my thighs refused to move. It's like they constricted around my femur bone and refused to let the lactic acid flow! I was barely moving and my legs were on fire. All the other students are of course fine and they are jogging happily up ahead. I felt ridiculous. I then tried to convince the coach to let me walk the rest of it. I thought he would comply because we had sent him an email before stating how I had had the flu. WRONG AGAIN. He asked me what was wrong and I said "my muscles can't move" He told me to try jogging slowly and I was like, okay, what I was doing before. By the time Gym was over I was the only one having trouble walking and I was red faced. It was hideous. I tried to go to my English class next but it was up the stairs. I was pulling my self up the stairs by the handrails. For the rest of the day my legs didn't work quite right and I was tired. I'm just saying that next time I'm going to be more prepared. ;)
